Nestlé

SKlump-Photo1-85x85Stephen Klump, global packaging quality and safety manager for Nestlé, will talk about packaging safety and compliance from the Nestlé perspective. During his 13 years with the company, Dr Klump has worked at Nestlé Purina and the Nestlé quality assurance centre in the US as well as the company’s research centre. He is currently working at Nestlé’s headquarters in Vevey, Switzerland.

 

APEAL

A MohrAlexander Mohr is the Director External Affairs at Association of European Producers of Steel for Packaging (APEAL). Before joining APEAL, he  worked for the European container glass industry based in Brussels and headed the public affairs practice. Previous to EU public and external affairs in Brussels, he worked for a German political think tank on political party consulting issues. He was lecturer on international relations at the Institut d’études politiques de Paris (SciencesPo) and holds a law degree from the University of Tuebingen, Germany.

 

Thyssenkrupp Rasselstein

Dr-Ulrich-Roeske-85x85Dr Ulrich Roeske is Thyssenkrupp Rasselstein’s chairman of the executive board. The company is Germany’s only tinplate producer and has the world’s largest production facility for packaging steel. It produces tinned and special chromium coated steel for a variety of packaging solutions. The product range extends from tinplate to electrolytic chromium coated steel through to organically coated material. The presentation will be highly relevant to the European metal packaging market in evaluating the future of steel packaging as a representative of a key institution in the industry.

 

Metal Packaging Europe

Anders-Linde-85x85Anders Linde, the secretary general of Metal Packaging Europe (MPE), will also speak. MPE represents the united interests of producers and suppliers of rigid metal packaging across Europe. Linde’s past experience includes working as director of external environmental affairs at Rexam. He was also chairman of Europen between 1998 and 2003 and was director at Beverage Can Makers Europe between 1992 and 2011. Bringing together European and national industry associations, Metal Packaging Europe is the voice for the industry ensuring the benefits of metal packaging are understood and promoted. The members of MPE are the main European trade bodies across the metal packaging industry.

 

Campden BRI

AJC_-_Speaker_Profile_-_April_20131-1Alan Campbell is Food/Packaging Technologist covering food manufacturing and packaging related areas within Campden BRI. He had a technical role with a metal packaging company (LINPAC Closures & Cans, Cwmbran) before joining Campden BRI in 1988. During his time at Campden BRI, Alan has been involved in a wide range of packaging and food processing related projects and consultancy. Additionally, Alan is involved in numerous Campden BRI training courses lecturing on food technology, packaging (including metal packaging) and the prevention of foreign matter in foods.
