Creating a Monster

As is the norm, Euro CanTech began with an afternoon tabletop session and the networking dinner on Monday night. As the wine flowed, discussions inevitably moved to the pressing industry messages at the moment, which of course includes the steel tariff in the US, and how to best combat the increasing anti plastic sentiment that we are seeing in the media.

As a result of this, Euro CanTech delegates were treated to a lively discussion in the Candid Forum feature on day two. With input from Ardagh, KBA MetalPrint, CarnaudMetalbox Engineering and Tata Steel, the Forum was an engaging hour on topics pertinent to the industry. This session was captured on film, so we will be uploading this to our website shortly.

The highlight of day two is as always the Euro CanTech Awards. This year Ardagh Group scooped the Supreme Cup with its Espresso Monster Coffee Can. Due to its Matte and Mirror Impact developed by INX, the judges decided that its structured surface created a unique feel.
