Every Can Counts programme to launch in July 2017

The Every Can Counts programme will be launched in the BeNeLux region, starting in Belgium in July 2017. Every Can Counts is teaming up with Les Connexions, a French NGO which is active in the field of waste management and a key partner of the French programme Chaque Canette Compte.

The Every Can Counts programme will be introduced at two major events: Tour de France in Liège on 2 July, and Libramont fair from 28 to 31 July. Participants will be invited to take part in various contests to win bicycles made of used beverage cans. It is hoped that the range of activities, including a photo booth and a Do-It-Yourself workshop, will highlight the various sustainable aspects of the beverage can.

The Every Can Counts programme is now active in 12 European countries and aims at changing the behaviour of consumers by inviting them to sort and recycle their beverage cans when they’re “on the go”, in public places, offices, schools, universities, major events and sports clubs.
